Friends of LBL celebrated its 20th year of service to the Land Between The Lakes
NRA during 2003.
This organization and its employees have delivered information to
visitors, conveyed an understanding of life in the 1850’s, shown views of
the universe for all to understand, nurtured an understanding and
conservation of wildlife and the land of the region.
We have a proud history of service to those who have come
to learn, to relax, and just to visit.

Planetarium Seating Project
The Golden Pond Planetarium was part of the
Golden Pond Visitor Center when it first opened for the public in 1979.
The seats have offered many thousands of visitors the opportunity to be seated
in air conditioned comfort in order to view many, many, many shows as well as
to attend numerous
meetings through the years.
As you can imagine, these original seats
NEED to be replaced as they have been well used during the last 26 years
in the Planetarium.
Friends of LBL
began a seating project last year to replace these vintage seats.
Due to your excellent response, sufficient funds have been received to pay
for this project.
Those persons and groups which made this
project a reality are shown here.

Planetarium in order to improve the education and the excitement of shows

Honoring Special Friends of LBL
Many individuals have fond memories of Land Between The Lakes and the
Communities which made up the land while it was still known as Land
Between the Rivers. They have fond memories of the individual
communities and families who lived there and loved the land. We have
established a Honor Page
for those who have
given funds to remember friends, family and other special people who loved
the land now known as Land Between The Lakes. Think of these people
often and reflect upon their love of the land.
If you have a loved one, whom you wish to be
remembered for their love of the land which is now Land Between The Lakes,
contact Friends

as noted at the bottom of the page and we would be pleased to add your
remembered person and your name to the listing already established in
order to reflect your contributions in their honor.
There are other ways that you can help Land
Between The Lakes and the "Friends of LBL" which is dedicated to support
of the Land.

Volunteering
You can be an active part of improvements and service to LBL by
volunteering you time and efforts. This can take the form of membership
and training in established service corps or it can be shown by
participation in clean up activities on the property (Bugle Corps,
Homeplace Corps, Nature Station Corps, or Planetarium Corps)

It can now be used to purchase fuel at a discount off the pump price.
Every time that you
place your grocery money on the card to pay for your merchandise, you get
to use every penny of your money while Kroger donates an amount equal to 5% of
every dollar and cent to the

to help LBL!
The LBLA Kroger
Fundraising Gift Card can be reloaded over and over again at any Kroger
store. It works like a debit card! The card will maintain your balance
until your next visit to Kroger.
Just present your LBLA
Kroger Fundraising Gift Card to a Kroger cashier before you ring your
groceries, load the gift card with your grocery money and “Go Krogering”!
Please remember.... if you your card fails to work,
do not let Kroger customer service replace it with one without the
Friends of LBL
sticker. If they do, you no longer are supporting LBL with your
purchases. Get another card from us and have your remaining funds
transferred to the new
Friends of LBL card.

Combined Federal
Campaign Contributions
Donations may be made through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) by
any Federal employee. Land Between The Lakes Association is a local
agency of the CFC.
